Achievement First Providence Mayoral Academy
Achievement First Providence Mayoral Academy Elementary opened its doors in August 2013 to 180 kindergarten and first grade students hailing from the areas of Providence, North Providence, Cranston, and Warwick. As we reach the conclusion of a successful first year, we are proud of the extraordinary efforts of our students who have excelled in the classroom and are already building many habits of success. In first grade, our students have passed an average of 5 reading levels, which is equal to nearly 1.5 years of growth! Beginning in August 2014, we will be welcoming a new class of kindergarten students and also adding a second grade to our school. As a new and growing school, Achievement First Providence Mayoral Academy needs to purchase new grade-level appropriate books and technology needs for our students. By helping contribute to these school startup costs and building a library of reading tools, you will not only help our current students, but you will also help additional classes of future students to climb the mountain toward college.
